Rare finely crafted silver and jewelled Spanish crucifix-marked 925 on front with makers mark--also two marks on back-all 24 jewels are there--mix of opals, rubies , turquoise, seed pearls--ca 1880s--Christ figure well cast with skull and cross bones at his foot-banner above figure-piece is complete--has loop at top so it could have been used as a pectorial cross, albeit large, on a mother superior or high ranking member of Catholic clergy--10 inches tall and 6 inches wide--nice item-rich design-no condition problems
