This is a beautiful sterling silver pitcher by Gorham--symmetry and design represent American silver with its best foot forward--the pitcher is 8.75 inches high with the mouth the same size-tapering down to 4.25 inch diameter base--except for a very minor ding at the base of the handle, there are no condition problems--This piece was bought in Puerto Rico and bears the imprint of the island--two sides bear engraved crests with the name BERNOLA It has the capacity of 4.25 pints---the fact that it bears two elaborate crests seems the people who owned it previously had a sense of pride in their origins
