Rare collection of 10 Puerto Rican solid mahogany caned side chairs-8 matching and a pair-all same size and same period-ca 1880- Pieces are balloon backed Medallion, the type found in the Puerto Rican Fortelessa governors mansion. Have height 40 inches width 19 inches depth 18 inches--condition is excellent-pieces are sturdy-these are highly sought item not previously on market,--carved highlights include classical rosette on 8 and shell on two-all compatible-the pair were used at the ends of the table.
