Very large Japanese Kutani porcelain platter or charger, approx. 20-1/4" x 17" x 3"H, with the interior hand decorated in iron red and turquoise glazes and accented with delicate gilt tracery overall. It has four cartouches with landscape scenes around the interior surrounded by geometric patterns. The back has foliate decorations around the rim and nine character marks in the iron red glaze in the center. Condition: Very little wear to the decoration minor wear to foot- Amazing piece to survive-probably ca 1880s

19th 4-panel Chinese screen-each panel is 86 inches high by 17.5 inches and 1.5 inches thick-each have two panels of cinnabar carvings and large teak chip carved panel--made of teak-decorated on one side--each panel has unique decoration-no two are alike--each panel also has intricately carved wood reticulated panels--pieces are mid 19thc Chinese-came out of China in the 50s--have Red Chinese wax customs authorizations from that period--pieces are in excellent condition-they were disassembled to hang flat on a wall-can be rehinged at time of purchase on request--intensely worked pieces not easily found in todays market
