Pair of 19thc Persian miniatures framed together in an eglomise frame with highly decorated surrounds painted with Persian designs--the portraits are painted on organic white material-each painting is formed by composing rodent like animals forming the portraits-all this is done with fine hand worked details-how this all fits into the pantheon of Persian art is beyond me.-portraits with Persian surround are 7 inches by 4 inches--with fine eglomise frame 11 inches by 14 inches- signed in Farsi in portrait on left
