Well painted Orientalist French oil on canvas of North African village -signed Hannaux dated 93--27 inches by 21 inches-add 2 inches for what appear early 20th frame-recently cleaned and restored professionally-there are two listed Hannaux-one is a sculptor, the other artist --painting is certainly impressionist French school in the late 19thc-canvas shows appropriate age-very fine painting with subtle impasto and short brush strokes-strong colors

Oil on canvas, signed in the lower right and inscribed with the location below, the canvas size approx. 19-1/4" x 25-5/8", and with the wide ornate frame overall approx. 29-1/4" x 35-1/4". An interesting proximity of older sailing vessels and a steam-powered sidewheeler. --restorations professionally done--original canvas and stretchers--frame appears original, but has been refreshed-mid 19thc
