This is a spectacular French early 20thc bronze lion mounted on carved antico rosa carved stone base-- lost wax-signed by Jean Andre who signed his work in stone Andrey-his subjects were exclusively lions-in Benezit and an example of his work is pictured in ANIMALS IN BRONZE by C. Payne and there is signd Andrey--he mounted almost always in stone-exhibited in the salon 1937 and 1938.--large 20 inches by 7 inches wide-18 inches tall-weighs around 50-60 pounds-no condition problems-belongs on a hedge fund executives's desk or for a person who dares.
