| Puerto Rican carved tropical hardwood santo-St Gerome-has the skull at his foot-the cross in his hand--and covered in bloody stigmata-base replaced-good sized-10.5 inches high with a 4 by 5 inch base--some scratches on his bloody body and bald head--the santero is unknown but he sure liked to carve backbones--piece is over 100 years old-and is a household saint--St Gerome Santo was rarely carved by Puerto Rican santeros | |||||||||||
