| very rare English hand-painted porcelain footed bowl-porcelain is probably from the Staffordshire area- ca 1820--painting depicts large English country manor and bucolic scenes on the inside of thr bowl-colors are vivid-also are highly colored moths painted into design as well as a lady bug--raised designs in porcelain--10 inch by 8 inch dish on 5 inch pedestal-mint condition-no repairs-this is museum quality porcelain--the fascination with moths and insects plays to a collectors mentality in the early 19th century-the country house most likely belonged to the gentry that commissioned the porcelain--probably made by Ralph and James Clews--1815-1834 | ||||||||||||||
