| This beautifully painted and carved wood table is believed to be Swedish--has a rosemalled painted design on the top-under side is also painted with folk design with a painting of an angel in the center-labeled Genesis 32--it is gate leg folding table not a tilt top-very nice turning on the three legs-even under side supports have carved heads--uncertain why all this work went into the under side--maybe long winters in Sweden !!-craftsmanship is first class-table is sturdy- carved scalloped edged top shows wear- top is 28 inches long and 22 inches wide--24.5 inches high-table was probably made in the 1920s and appears to have inspired some of the 60 year later whimsical American designs of Mackenzie-Childs--a useful, charming table-- either standing or away, it cannot be ignored | |||||||||||||||
