| This is one of three lithographs recently acquired in Puerto Rico-- the painter is Eduard Hilderbrandt-1818- 1869--he is well listed and has serious sales records--his works hang in French and German museums-litho is 13 inches by 9.5 inches add 1/2 inch for gold leaf frame-signed with Siam location indicated in the litho-- painter spent his whole life traveling around the world--this litho has been in one family over a 100 yrs--came from Germany to Venezuela and to Puerto Rico-no condition problems--beautiful lithograph depicting a lone elephant at a watering place in tropical Siam at sunset--like its creator the work is well traveled- was original painted on the site--litho is at least 150 yrs old--discoloration and reflection in the painting due to the fact in was photographed thru glass in less than studio conditions | ||||||||||||||
