| Richly chip carved wood architectural element or wall sculpture--this is high density tropical wood-piece is heavy-it was likely part of a much larger piece-maybe a bed or cabinet or element from building interior-piece is deeply carved on both sides--brass tack design was added much later to include the cross--if you wish to lend more glitz, polish the tacks--piece came from Spain, but could have been Islamic before its Christian tack design conversion--carving is early 19thc or even earlier--handsome piece for overdoor-overall condition excellent-42 inches wide-27 inches high-2 inches thick--condition excellent with iron plate reenforcement n the back--striking piece | ||||||||||||||
