| These fan like transoms are usually found above doorways in Old San Juan Puerto Rico--vast majority are made from wood and vary in ornamentation--the fact this one is hand forged wrought iron is unusual--size is 43 inches wide and 23 inches high--iron is heavy gauge--there is rust and paint loss--but who cares-as is it conveys the past--no parts broken or repaired--used locally as wall decorations in home or patio--or cleaned up- build it in over a door or window and let the air flow thru---one like this locally made today with very little quality would cost over 1000.00 | |||||||
